From July 17, to July 23, 2006 many of us had the opportunity to visit Charlotte, North Carolina for our 16th Reunion. While we all enjoyed the fellowship and rekindled friendships, the event was somewhat dampened by the recent passing of one of the RLEA&F founders, Leroy Bines, in April 2006. Leroy will remain forever in our hearts. This year’s logo, which was on 2006 Charlotte tee shirts bears a Transit Police shield with number 1323, which was Leroy’s shield number and our 2006 Name Tags, pictured below, bore his picture.
From the Hospitality suite, to the tour, to the Women’s Luncheon, to the cookout and the dinner dance, a memorable time was enjoyed by all in attendance. We apologize to those who missed the group picture and we will redouble our effort to make sure that all are included in next year’s photo.
